Warriors center Draymond Green has broken yet another record. He became the 6th player in franchise history to break the 6000-rebound mark. And like all supportive partners do, Hazel Renee came in blinding support. But this wasn’t from the faint of heart- she made sure to time it perfectly to target Stephen A. Smith amidst his fued with Green.
SAS isn’t alien to controversy. In fact, you could say that almost everything he says and does on air is for the sake of the ratings. But none so more than his feud with LeBron James. After Smith called out his son Bronny, James Sr. took it upon himself to tell Smith to keep his son’s name out of his mouth. And just like his partner Hazel, Drebound came out in support of his long-time friend and cut ties with the ESPN analyst.
Well in the midst of it all, in comes Hazel Renee to back up her megastar husband. “I really be in AWE😍 with my ol’ man…folks can say what they want but HE REALLY BEEN DOIN THE DAMN THING👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾💚” read her Instagram story reposting the Dub Nation’s post celebrating the achievement.

“A lot of problems that guys have with media is … To call something that man did b——- and weak … Like those are words, where we grew up … Like you get hands put on you,” said Green on The Draymond Green Show with Baron Davis.
The Draymond Express steamrolled through SAS’ neighborhood, talking about repercussions for his actions. But maybe talking about physical retaliation wasn’t the brightest option, considering Green’s past altercations with other players in the NBA.

Smith sends out a stark reminder to Draymond Green
You could view DrayMagic to be one of the league’s bad boys. There comes a fine line between passion and violence – something which Green hasn’t been able to differentiate in the past. Well, actions have consequences. And he’s paid the piper when needed. How much you ask? A ridiculous $4.1 million.
“You sure you should be saying that, Draymond? I mean, you sure? That’s the words you want to use? We should be putting hands on somebody? Has that not worked against you?” said Smith, reminding him to choose his words carefully from next time.
In the past, Draymond has gotten himself in physical altercations with Jordan Poole, Jusuf Nurkić, and Rudy Gobert. He’s punched Poole during a Warriors training camp, struck Nurkic in the face, and put Gobert in a headlock. Safe to say that the $4.1 million Green paid in suspensions and even NBA-mandated therapy sessions is more than justified.

Knowing Stephen A. Smith, this isn’t the end of the story. To be honest, he doesn’t want it to end for the sake of the ratings. And neither do the fans- who doesn’t love some free-of-cost popcorn flix? But regardless of the drama, this record has just placed Draymond Green’s legacy higher on the list in the NBA, and rightfully so.
