Greatness comes at a price that only a select few are willing to pay. It is not even an esoteric secret that gets passed on through lineage. If you want to be great at something, anything, have the discipline and the work ethic for it. You make a promise to yourself and keep it. Undeniably Stephen Curry is doing that. And in his fifteenth year, at 35, Steph’s work ethic is motivating his peers, too.

This season is going to be a very crucial one for the Dub’s aging Trifecta core. One of the trio, who is yet to make his preseason debut due to an injury, believes that Steph is fighting the good fight, and is winning too against Father Time.

If you think about the Golden State Warriors, 3 faces would come to your mind. It will be the 2 Splash brothers and Draymond Green. The defensive ace, or the defensive menace that Draymond is, does not sugarcoat anything. For him to say that Stephen Curry is defeating age because of his work ethic is the ultimate compliment that he could give to his fellow four-time champion. Draymond reveals to SiriusXM NBA radio that, underneath all the accolades that Stephen Curry receives, from being called the Golden Child to the Baby-Faced Assassin, there is “A never dying passion that’s just burning, raging.” Please check out the video below.

Draymond Green has never said something like this about Klay Thompson or anyone else. He was not hyping Steph in this video. Draymond, who had faced weight issues early in his career, resurrected his career through grinding. So, he understands what Steph is doing both for his game and for his personal life.

Steph is not the only one.

LeBron James is in his year 21, and he looks fit as a fiddle. It is said that the King spends over a million dollars to keep himself in game shape all the time. Of course, the NBA has had similar examples in Kobe and Michael Jordan. But why isn’t everyone imbibing this quality of work ethic?
