It was 12 years ago when Danny Ainge made a franchise-defining call. Gone were Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce for a host of picks that shaped today’s Celtics. Now why is that important? Because that was a blueprint of success the Warriors of today need. Unless they had that one guy from the 2022 championship side, Jordan Poole. But a punch courtesy of Draymond Green has now put Mike Dunleavy in a situation to make a similar call, which we know he won’t make. And Draymond Green is “sorry” for that and is looking to move over from the infamous Jordan Poole punch drama. Every time the Warriors play the Wizards, that’s the spotlight story. Now, Green is tired of suffering in silence.

“I love those guys over there, I love most of those guys over there,” Jordan Poole said after Saturday’s defeat to his former team. Marc J. Spears of Andscapes shared it on X and that didn’t escape Draymond’s attention. He replied with, “I’m really am sorry.” It was brought up in the latest episode of The Draymond Green Show with Baron Davis. Reflecting on it, Draymond said, “I really am sorry. I responded because, you know, like, it’s been three years.” Urging to move on he added, “We moved on. Like, let’s move on, man. I really am sorry.”

The former DPOY further claimed it was a sympathy ploy to keep making him the bad guy. But he’s well passed that. Acknowledging the fact that he was in the wrong to throw the fist, Draymond revealed, “I even apologized to his parents, because his dad popped off one time on the internet, and I went back at him, because it was just like, bro, why you popping off? And I actually didn’t like myself for it, because I wasn’t even on that.”

In 2023, Draymond Green joined Patrick Beverly’s podcast and talked about the controversy. Draymond highlighted that a team member knows a lot of behind-the-scenes stuff that shouldn’t be said. While it is never easy to get triggered by a teammate, Draymond was due to what Poole said. Replying to the story, the Wizards guard’s father clapped back at Green.

“I’m stand on this that’s is some bs. Jp was his guy and he avoid me all last yr. He is a soft as b—- and I’m standing on this and he didn’t apologize to me and my wife. So he lame and me and him can meet anytime he want,” Poole’s father tweeted. That probably happened somewhere down the line according to Draymond’s comments on the latest episode of his podcast.

But from all these, Draymond actually came out with a cold fact of life. Do whatever you do, just don’t get into the bad side of the youngsters.

Draymond Green talked about major realisation from Jordan Poole drama

Draymond Green is a real one to his underlings. And that applies throughout the league. The Warriors vet previously revealed how he stayed up till 4 am at night, talking about life with the likes of Moses Moody, Jonathan Kuminga and the other young Dubs. This was even confirmed by a player from the Grizzlies. Recently Jaren Jackson Jr. appeared on The Young Man and The Three podcast and revealed Draymond taking turns to call each of the young guys in the locker room. However, Green had a warning note added to it.
