Draymond Green can easily be called one of the league’s most controversial stars. Starting from his ugly on-court altercations to locker-room controversies, he had it all throughout his career. However, the incident involving the former Dubs star, Jordan Poole, didn’t end well for the side, as the young talent had to make his way out. Months later, Green dropped his guard with the latest confession on the issue, leaving the veterans to raise their eyebrows.
In the latest episode of The Draymond Green Show, the star took a trip down memory lane. Not only that, he also made a heartwarming confession to his teammate, Kevon Looney. In 2022, a video recording revealed that Green had punched Poole in the face during a practice session. Since then, it disrupted the team’s progress as the duo refused to even it out.
Speaking of it recently, Green said, “I was so embarrassed to be around our team last year with JP… I was probably late last season 20 times.” He also revealed how he timed his arrival at the practice session to avoid interactions. And, taking Green’s confession into hand, veteran Bay Area podcaster Mark Willard made a meaty statement. He said, “Draymond Green, to me, sounds retired. I’ve never seen someone do what he’s doing when they’re still playing. He is everywhere every day,” in the latest episode of 95.7 The Game radio show.

As Mark Willard pointed out, Draymond Green “is everywhere every day”, which is almost true. Despite the Golden State Warriors‘ early exit from the season, the 4x NBA Champion has been involved in the games regularly. Apart from his podcasts, analyzing the games, he also took a spot alongside the Inside Guys during the postseason.
But, the question is: Is the 34-year-old giving hints about his early retirement with his latest confession?

Will Draymond Green call it quits early in his career?
With Stephen Curry in his late 30s, the Warriors trio have only a few more seasons left in their tank. On top of it, the future of Klay Thompson on the side is also uncertain. China Klay is yet to sign his contract extension with the side and the trade rumors suggest that he could move out, breaking the union.
On the other hand, Draymond Green, who has three more seasons left in his contract, raised eyebrows with his latest confession. Moreover, the star power forward even contemplated to retire amid his suspension. Following the physical altercation with Jusuf Nurkić, the league indefinitely suspended him. It also directed him to go through therapy sessions before stepping on the court.

During his hiatus, the star had contemplated retiring from the game and even expressed it to Adam Silver. However, the NBA Commissioner managed to pull him out of that thought and sent him back to the Bay Area side. At the same time, Green’s increased presence in the media, analyzing the games during his active years has put the fans in dilemma.
