The NBA All-Star Weekend continues to captivate fans with its intriguing offerings. While for this year’s All-Star game, the league has decided to go back to its roots with classic East vs. West matchup and traditional 12-minute quarters – meaning the end of Elam Ending, it has also implemented a host of exciting activities.

One of them is providing the viewers with more choices. Now, they can not only watch their favorite stars in action next Sunday but also indulge in the entertaining banter between NBA host Charles Barkley and Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green as they watch the 2024 All-Star Game together.

As per Richard Deitsch of The Athletic, Green and Barkley will assemble for an NBA All-Star Game ALTCAST on Sunday to share their opinions and interact with the players. The telecast, hosted by Taylor Rooks, will be accessible for viewing on truTV and Max. Additionally, it will showcase Jamal Crawford as a roaming reporter from the sidelines, facilitating player interactions with the panel. Meanwhile, the main event will be simulcast on TNT, TBS, and Max, as well as truTV and Max.

“Over the last couple of years when Draymond has come to the studio or with interactions at All-Star Games, it was really evident the chemistry between him and Charles,” said Craig Barry, TNT Sports executive vice president and chief content officer.

He further elaborated on how this came to fruition, “There was a lot of dialogue and fun and provocative debate. It’s something that we think fans potentially want to see more of so we thought this was an opportunity to sit them down next to each other and essentially watch the game together. We thought what could we put together that would be an interesting conversation —and all things led to Draymond and Charles.”

Apart from Green, fans can also catch Boston Celtics’ star Jayson Tatum embracing a different role. Tatum will debut as a sports analyst on Saturday night (“Access 23 Jordan Brand ALTCAST”) for the 3-Point Contest, also available to view on truTV and Max. This panel also includes Vince Carter, Carmelo Anthony, and host Adam Lefkoe. In addition, Tatum is also expected to be part of the analysis of the first-of-its-kind Stephen Curry vs. Sabrina Ionescu 3-Point Challenge.
