With access to a boatload of money and millions of fans, NBA players are more than just athletes. Sure, performing on the hardwood is the most important part of their job. But the constant limelight also gives them a ‘celebrity status’ which requires them to look fresh and remain presentable all the time. And that’s where celebrity barber Lionel Harris, better known as Brownie Blendz’s job begins. Working closely with hoopers like Draymond Green and LeBron James, he is the man behind their sharp cuts.
In a wholesome gesture, Green publicly appreciated Brownie’s decade-long loyalty, but could it be a hint to his highly talked about future with the Warriors? Well, it began after Harris shared a post on Instagram showing two different images of him cutting Dray’s hair, which are years apart. “Over a decade in… That might sound foreign to you…,” he captioned it. Acknowledging the close bond, the Warrior re-shared the sharp-look pictures on his IG story fueling a loyalty debate, “Most of these folks can’t count to 10…”
Although it seems like a harmless appreciation post, it could spark tensions in the Bay Area as Brownie Blendz is also LeBron James’ business partner and has a recurring role in the Lakers star’s produced show ‘The Shop Interrupted’.

Surprisingly enough, it was Draymond Green who encouraged King James and other producers to include Blendz on the show to give that authentic barbershop debate feel. As per his Warriors contract, Dray still has 3 years left before he becomes a free agent again. However, he has a player option for the 2026-27 season and ever since Klay’s departure, there have been constant rumors about him leaving or getting traded soon.
This shoutout to Bron’s partner has left many wondering if Green would leave to join forces with his pal in LA.
Other hints of a possible Draymond Green team-up with LeBron James
Well, there have been other instances this summer that have left Draymond Green’s future in Golden State uncertain. Just days after LeBron James bagged a Gold medal in Paris, he extended his stay in Europe to enjoy a vacation with the Warrior. First, they were spotted at a beach club in Cannes, partying with their close ones. Then, the duo headed to Monaco and spent some time there.
Sure enough, many fans believe that they might even have had discussions regarding teaming up in the future as both stars are in the latter stages of their careers and have become very close friends.
Moreover, Draymond Green has kept the door open for King James to join forces with him under one condition, “Unless Bron comes to Golden State, I don’t really see that happening.” Yes, Green still has high hopes of remaining a Warrior for life. But if his stay there is meant to end anytime soon, he might not mind spending the rest of his career playing alongside LeBron!
In regards to a timeline, Stephen Curry‘s long-time teammate dropped his latest retirement hint in June. Amidst a conversation on Jeff Teague’s pod, he said, “Like, I’m headed into Year 13. I probably got two more.”
