He said, “I think for a second, you have to explore other teams, and you know, do the thing, but what I will say is, Golden State made it very clear to me that I was a priority. They made it very clear to me that they wanted to do all that they could for me to still be there and be a part of what we have built and that I am a Warrior for the rest of my life and I think that was one of the biggest things for me. Joe said to me, ‘This is not like some contract. You are our partner for the rest of your life, and that was huge for me, so I am very thankful to Joe Laker and the Golden State Warriors.”
For the upcoming season, Green has signed up for a 4-year contract worth $100,000,000, which includes $100,000,000 guaranteed along with an annual salary of $25,000,000.

Draymond Green signed a 4 year / $100,000,000 contract with the Golden State Warriors, including $100,000,000 guaranteed, and an annual average salary of $25,000,000. In 2023-24, Green will earn a base salary of $22,321,429, while carrying a cap hit of $22,321,429 and a dead cap value of $22,321,429. The team management has always stood by the idea that they want to continue with Draymond Green.
