Draymond Green might have missed the postseason, but he is enjoying his time at home analyzing the playoffs. The Golden State Warriors center used his podcast, The Draymond Green Show, where he delved deep into the Miami Heat vs the Boston Celtics. Like many, Green is siding with the C’s, but after Game 2, he believes Jayson Tatum and Co. are doubtful about themselves. So does he think they are going to lose? No, but he wants the Celtics to lose for his satisfaction!
Green shared, “What we are seeing right now is those guys [Heat] playing with no pressure, still playing Miami Heat basketball and they go out there and get game. If I am the Boston Celtics, not that worried…you lose to the team without Jimmy Butler, and although you still think you can beat that team, a little inkling of doubt creeping in the back of your head because we know this team.”
This doesn’t mean Green believes the Miami Heat can turn the tables around. Yet, ultimately, that is what the 2016 DPOY is rooting for because he added, “Quite frankly, I like to see the Boston fans sweat. I love to see Boston fans sad…I love to see Boston fans lose.” Looks like Green wants to see a repeat of the Celtics vs Warriors from the 2022 Finals, but with the Heat this time.

DG also went on to share an analysis of the Celtics after their Game 2 loss. This time, it was about how the Celtics might have been affected mentally.
Draymond Green believes Jimmy Butler’s absence in Game 2 worked well for the Heat
It is very unlikely for Butler to return from injury by the end of the series. However, Green believes his absence might have worked well in game 2. Why so? The 34-year-old shared, “So mentally you face Jimmy Butler, you know the history coming into game 1. However, you don’t have to face Jimmy Butler. We can breathe a little bit. Then you lose to that team without Jimmy Butler.” Green believes this is the reason why the Celtics might be doubting themselves.
However, he did mention that the Boston unit has the capacity to steal two home games from the Heat. And exactly like he predicted, the Celtics demolished the Heat at the Kaseya Center, 104-84, to take a lead in the series today. The Heat hit 23 three pointers in game 2, but they couldn’t bring that same heat check this time. Notably, the Celtics gave more attention to the perimeter defense, which worked in their favor. Tyler Herro, who regulated the ball brilliantly last game, did not have much scope this time. But, in case the Celtics lose once again in game 4, that will give the Heat a lot of confidence, as they have won it without Butler once again. Let’s wait and watch who takes game 4.
