Aaron Judge has gone into video game mode once again. With 62 shots out of the park, the baseball star set a new American League record for the most home runs in a season two years ago. Surely enough, many believed a feat so historic might never be achieved again. However, with the way things are going right now, Judge could reach that milestone yet again as he added another homer to his tally tonight, even leaving Draymond Green and the fans in awe.

Hosting the Colorado Rockies at Yankee Stadium, Judge sealed the game for his team with another massive hit into the stands. Is it even surprising anymore? Maybe not, because this was his fourth straight game with a homer and his seventh in the last eight games. And with tonight’s hit, he took his season home run count to 49. If he continues at this pace, he is expected to have another 62-home run season, which would tie his record from two years ago. But if we are being even more ambitious, he might even shatter the record with a few extraordinary performances in the middle.

Sure enough, Judge’s dominance that led to the Yankees 3-0 win caught the fans’ attention as Warriors’ star Draymond Green shared the unreal stat on his IG story and made a bold prediction for the man in form, “MVP!” Even when Judge surpassed Roger Maris’ record of 61 home runs two seasons ago, he took home the MVP honors for the historic feat. And if he is able to break the record once again, there might be no one opposing the idea of him bagging another one of those trophies.

America has faith in Aaron Judge creating history AGAIN

To nobody’s surprise, Draymond was not the only person to predict a historic season for Judge. As it turns out, several fans believe that he could in fact break his 62-homer record this year as one wrote, “I’m starting to believe he’s going to beat it.”

One fan even went as far as to calculate how Judge could go way past the previous record by the time the regular season is over. Sure enough, there are still 34 games left to play for the Yankees and Judge needs 13 more home runs to tie his record. However, in the past 34 games, he has hit seventeen shots out of the park and a similar form going forward would take his final tally close to seventy. They wrote, “34 games left including tonight to get 13. 45 in his last 100. He might break it.”

Meanwhile, one netizen was just in awe of Judge as he pointed out how he has come so close to the record even though he had a slow start to the season. Yes, Judge has been on another level in the past three months, which was not how he began the season. The amazed fan wrote, “Even with that slow start of the season oh wow”.

Marveling at Judge’s historic year, one fan even deemed him a better player than Yankees legend Babe Ruth. They wrote, “We are witnessing someone who is as good or better than Babe Ruth”. Sure enough, not everyone would agree with that claim because many consider Ruth the GOAT of baseball. But it’s an honor for Judge even to be mentioned in that conversation.

One netizen sided with Draymond’s claim and even questioned how Royals’ Bobby Witt could even be considered to win MVP over Judge. The curious fan wrote, “Please tell me again how Bobby Witt is going to win MVP“, while Witt is also having a great season, it might get overshadowed if Judge breaks the record this year. So, the people who believe Witt deserves MVP might end up disappointed.
