After proving his worth to everyone, Jaylen Brown and company were all set to get started with their championship parade. More than a million fans attended the ‘Duck Boat Parade‘. The city was also warned beforehand regarding the extreme weather conditions during the hours of the event. Still, fans did not hesitate to step into the heat and show love to the squad. The Finals MVP, Jaylen Brown, however, was a little late to the parade.

When JB stepped out, he came out wearing a t-shirt with the quote, “State Your Source”. For context, Stephen A. Smith recently made some comments on how Brown isn’t as marketable as he should be. The reason for the same as he states was because of his, “I am better than you’ attitude”. But this quote was anonymous and Smith did not wish to reveal the name behind it.

Stephen noticed how Brown fired back and wanted to clear things up in his podcast. ” If you’re Jaylen Brown and you are watching could you please do me a favor and go back and listen to what I said? And truly inhale and dissect what I was saying. I wasn’t saying they were right, I was saying they were wrong, but you needed to be aware of the fact that some people out there saying this about you. Don’t you want to know where the bodies lie?”, said Stephen A. Smith

While the media star did not disclose who made the comments in the first place, he certainly made sure that there was nothing but love and respect from his side. Stephen A. tried to explain how certain people could try to bring his value down. It is interesting to note how even after a stellar performance this postseason, Brown hasn’t received as much hype as he deserved. On the other hand, Brown has proved many wrong this season. In one way, he is indeed better than his opponents.

Jaylen Brown was standing on his business

Despite the negativity, Brown’s performance in the Finals as well as in the Conference Finals set a valid tone of how lethal Brown can be. JB is quite humble with his game and the outcome he produces. To have a better mentality is a great way to mentally prepare for big games. However, when it comes to Brown, his game does the talking. Even if Brown performs with the said attitude, the 27-year-old just lifted a Finals MVP trophy with authority.
