I’m still not used to seeing Klay Thompson play in the NBA but with a different jersey on. But what has remained the same is his sinking threes. The former Splash Bro, dare I say, is still finding ways to score, putting up around 15 points per game. Maybe all the 5x All-Star needed was a change in scenery.
He has been a great addition to the Dallas Mavericks, adding firepower to the already lethal duo of Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving. When the opponents’ defense focuses on stopping Doncic and Kyrie, by hook or by crook, the 4x champion is left free to get a bucket.
Another thing that has not changed is his partnership with ANTA. Thompson’s collaboration with ANTA has been a huge success, and his signature sneaker line keeps getting better year after year. This week marks a special milestone as ANTA and Klay celebrate a decade of creating standout sneakers.

The hooper has been rocking his 10th signature sneaker all season, and fans can finally get their hands on the ANTA KT10, which drops this Thursday, November 7. The shoe will be available in 2 colorways for $130 in adult sizes. You can snag them online from ANTA, Shoe Palace, KICKS CREW, and other select retailers.
But that is not all; if you buy the KT10 from The Galleria Dallas, you stand a chance to meet the hoopster in person! It is an exclusive offer from ANTA and Shoe Palace, located in the Galleria Mall. He’ll be present there from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm. If you ask me, $130 is an absolute bargain to meet Klay Thompson!

While his shoe sponsor is still the same, how has the air in Dallas changed Klay? Let us dive into how he has been performing so far for the Mavs.

How has Klay Thompson fared so far with the Mavs?
Thompson has had a rough stretch in the last three games, after an impressive start to the season in his first three outings. His shooting struggles were evident during Dallas’ 108-85 victory over the Magic on Sunday. In that game, he finished with 9 points, shooting 4-of-10 from the field and 1-of-5 from beyond the arc. When asked about Thompson’s overall impact, Mavs coach Jason Kidd spoke about the former Warriors guard’s contributions beyond his shooting. Kidd shared his thoughts with Noah Weber, “I thought he played a great game. I know we look at him for scoring and shooting threes, but I thought his playmaking, and his energy was high. He was moving on both ends at a very high level. I thought his defense was really good tonight.”

Klay Thompson’s defense has always been a key part of his game, especially during his prime, when he would often shut down the opposition’s top players. Even though injuries like his ACL tear and Achilles issue have slowed him down, the legacy hoopster still plays solid defense.
On Sunday, Klay Thompson may have struggled with his shooting, but he didn’t let that impact his effort on the other end of the floor. He ended the game with two blocks and a +19 rating in just under 29 minutes. If the veteran sharpshooter can continue to contribute defensively, it would be a huge boost for the Dallas Mavericks, especially after losing Derrick Jones Jr. to free agency.

Lately, Klay Thompson has been struggling, especially in his last three games, where he’s hit just 5 of his 21 attempts from deep. Currently, the ex-Splash Bro is shooting 37.03% from 3 and averaging 14.5 points per game. While those numbers aren’t bad, they fall short of the high standards we all expect from Klay.
But it’s not unusual for the five-time All-Star to have a slow start to the season before finding his rhythm as the year goes on.
