Dallas Mavericks announcer Brian Dameris slammed former MVP James Harden in a lengthy monologue prior to the Clippers-Mavericks in-season tournament game earlier this month. He dove deep into the drama surrounding Harden throughout his career and how it has affected every team he has been in. Dameris dropped the mic after his final comment, “You’re not The Beard, you’re not the system, you’re the problem.”

Dirk remembered the James Harden outrage and hilariously said this before working with Dameris tonight: “The pregame show is challenging with Brian Dameris on here. I just hope he’s not going off at anybody today. We will have some fun and keep it clean.” Dameris, who was part of the interview panel, chuckled in response.

Brian Dameris spoke some harsh facts during his James Harden outrage. He talked about how the former MVP has bounced from team to team and made unreasonable demands everywhere. And when Harden does not get his wish, or the scenario becomes uncomfortable for him, he decides to switch teams. That is a pattern James Harden has followed throughout his career.

Even though Harden is a future Hall of Famer and one of the most lethal scorers in NBA history, his legacy has taken a hit because of his off-court drama. Dameris also claimed that the Clippers’ tenure might be Harden’s last chance to win a championship and redeem his career. If Harden fails to deliver this year in a new team and plays the blame game, no team would want to work with him in the future. Although Brian Dameris’ outrage was harsh, there was a lot of truth to it.
