Oh man, Draymond’s at it again. The Golden State Warriors power forward got into the act again after appearing to strike Luguentz Dort during a run of play. While Dort tried to get free in transition, Draymond Green grabbed and grappled with him and, in the end, appeared to have struck him on the head. But to the fan’s disbelief, Green received a technical foul, which sent the netizens on fire.
But the Warriors fans got irked by the Oklahoma City Thunder announcers, Michael Cage and Chris Fisher. They reacted to the Green foul in a way they wanted more than a technical. One user stated, “Shocked the OKC announcers didn’t call 911.”

We often see the home team’s dedicated announcers becoming biased in favoring the home team. Not a dig on OKC announcers, but most announcers go by the same lines. It sometimes irks the fans regarding how they determine the nature of fouls on the players. Noted for playing on the edge, Draymond Green divides opinions in most cases. He comes up with some niggling fouls here and there with around 182 technical fouls.
The Warriors ultimately won the game against the Thunder and have a record of 8-2. The team’s gelling well, despite the loss of Klay Thompson. Yet, with the announcers giving their opinions on the matter, the man obviously stirred the pot. Some users marked their stomp on X to call out the announcers for interpreting the game as favoring the Thunder.

One user reacted, “Okc announcers were a disgrace all game. spent all of halftime looking for a warriors stream and the only one was 5 mins behind 😭.” If you get an opportunity to watch the NBA game on League Pass, you can choose multiple streams. At times, ESPN or TNT come up with their streams giving neutral opinions. Otherwise, the home and away team will have their set of commentators who obviously support their team. This user wanted the GSW stream, but it lagged for over 5 minutes.

One user posted a picture of OKC announcers Chris Fisher and Michael Cage and captioned it, “They were just pissing me off.” The two have commentated on Thunder games for quite some time now. Michael Cage was a former basketball player who also became the NBA rebounding leader in 1988. In the meantime, Chris Fisher became the play-by-play announcer of the OKC during the 2018-19 NBA season. After spending eight years as a radio voice for USC basketball, Fisher became the main commentator for the Thunder. Like most announcers, he gave out some good moments as well.

With Draymond Green understood to make hard fouls, this user captioned, “Bro i was laughing so loud, cause they acting like Dray straight up assaulted him or something 😭😭.” In the NBA’s rich history, we often see Green meddling with various players. With his no-nonsense playing style, naysayers find a way to call him out for becoming overly aggressive.
Similarly, one user pointed out, “The most bias announcers I’ve ever heard.” Most teams have announcers showcasing biased commentary in favor of their teams. Be it the Charlotte Hornets announcers who hype up plays like no one else, OKC announcers got called out for coming up with biased commentary.
Therefore, most teams have biased commentators calling the game. For the Warriors fans, it seems the OKC announcers stand on top alone.
