Devin Booker using a 26-year-old item—Is this the best way to honor NBA history?

The Paris Olympics are long gone. But Devin Booker has kept the memories alive by constantly releasing behind-the-scenes footage and pictures from the trip. Just last week, he released a 14-minute documentary-style video titled ‘I’ll do it’ which also contained Team USA’s unseen locker room moments from their gold pursuit. And tonight, Book made his teammates’ memories even sweeter by sharing portraits of them wearing gold around their necks.

While most fans are busy marveling at the latest images of superstars, including LeBron James and Kevin Durant, many of you might also be wondering which camera Booker used to make these memories immortal. Don’t Worry! We have got you covered. Along with several snapshots of his teammates, Book also shared the image of the vintage device he used in Paris. Surprisingly enough, it is the Fujifilm GA645Zi camera, which was originally released back in 1998.

Yes, in the age of premium technology, Booker chose a more simplistic device from the past. Maybe that’s what makes these images so special. With a ‘professional’ tag on its top plate, the GA645Zi is used by photography enthusiasts who are more passionate about the craft than your average Joe. And now that more athletes are getting into the media and podcasting game, it comes as no surprise that Booker went the extra mile to give his teammates a unique experience with the vintage device. Unlike the newer touchscreen cameras, Book’s has an LCD screen at the back to check the settings. And it has a 55-90mm focal length, which gives a better portrait frame along with an outdated lens that gives the images a retro feel. Just because the technology is old does not mean the camera would be cheap. In fact, it is currently selling on eBay at nearly $1400.
