Stephen Curry and LeBron James. Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant. Stephen Curry and Devin Booker…? The first two would make sense, given everything we have seen on the court in Paris. And in KD’s case, we have seen the lethal offensive duo they were during Durant’s Warrior days. But Booker? Where on earth did that combination come from? Or, more importantly, how did such an idea even form?
We might be able to answer the second part. And when you get the answer for that, the former question answers itself. Ready? Here we go. Warriors Muse, the official Golden State fan page for all things Dubs, shared an interesting tweet. A ‘secret,’ if you will, day out, just the two of them in London.
“While everyone took individual cars in London in one of the nights, Steph and Book were the only ones paired in the same car, presumably coming from golf. Steph with his “Wardell 30” and Book with his Red Wings golf bags.”

We are all aware of these two, along with Jayson Tatum, going for a round or two of golf in Abu Dhabi. Given the schedule of the matchups, the men do have a little downtime to engage in other activities. Unsurprisingly, golf enthusiasts Steph and DBook opted for the same. And it seems like the newly-crowned NBA champion, JT, also decided to flex his skills.
But how is it that we missed the London rendezvous? Then again, it shouldn’t be too shocking that the two men would bond over their mutual love for the sport. Booker once shared that golf gave him “peace of mind.” And as for Curry, well, he is a scratch golfer who’s been playing the sport since 10.
But was that all that gave way to the rumors of a Devin Booker-Steph Curry friendship?
Devin Booker was all praise for Stephen Curry after witnessing ground-breaking heroics in the Olympics
The 2024 Team USA squad was special. For us fans (and those not born or old enough to realize the importance of the 1992 Dream Team), this group was the ultimate basketball nirvana – Dream Team 2.0. For players like Anthony Edwards, Tyrese Haliburton, and in our case, Devin Booker, this was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
Playing against some of the greatest in basketball is different from playing with them. And witnessing that greatness, despite having seen them many times over, is even more surreal up close. That was the situation of these NBA superstars when in company with Steph. Even KD, arguably on par with the Bay Area legend in shooting, was left slack-jawed watching Curry at his finest.
Imagine the plight of others. After Steph hit that golden dagger against France, the crowd and his teammates went wild. And what did Book say of that? “He’s the best shooter to ever live!” Not one of the best, but the best. Clearly, his appreciation and admiration for the first-time Olympian was as pure as it could be.

Well, what do you make of this new friendship? It’s true that neither the Warriors nor the Suns will let go of their stars if they can help it. But if Steph so wishes, or vice versa, could we maybe see the birth of an NBA “CookBook”? Let us know in the comments.
