NBA’s Rival Week has been nothing short of thrilling. So far, the fans are scooping every bit of the top teams going after each other. There have been some iconic performances and one of them is Karl-Anthony Towns‘ astonishing 44-point half, ultimately culminating in a 62-point milestone.

However, his excitement was short-lived as the Charlotte Hornets orchestrated a comeback, securing a 128-125 victory. Moreover, Joel Embiid set the court ablaze with 70 points, immediately surpassing Kat’s iconic game. Now, following in the footsteps of his Kentucky Wildcats teammate is Devin Booker.

Booker, in his recent game against the Indiana Pacers, joined the ranks of legends through his 29 points in the first 12 minutes. Furthermore, Booker concluded the game with 62 points. With two 40-point initial quarters, the Phoenix Suns struggled in the last, managing only 17 points. This led to the Pacers staging a comeback, ultimately sealing a close 133-131 win and overtaking Book’s historic night.

With the loss, the Suns’ seven-game winning streak came to an end. Heading into the fourth quarter, they enjoyed an 11-point lead. However, their fortunes took a turn as poor shooting at 30% (1-10 from the three-point line) and five turnovers allowed the Pacers to gradually close the gap.

In the final moments, with a chance to secure the win, Booker faced the hoop for a game-winning three. Unfortunately, he slipped and air-balled the shot, falling short of replicating Kevin Durant’s recent buzzer-beater against the Chicago Bulls.

Now, as the fans anticipate the reserves list, Booker when asked about his opinion on the matter, nonchalantly expressed that he wasn’t surprised by the snub and, more importantly, didn’t care. Book last participated in an All-Star game two seasons ago and is yet to make it as a starter. With season averages of 26.7 points and a career-best 7.8 assists, he stands among the league’s elite point guards. The All-Star reserves list will be announced on February 1. Notable names across the NBA anticipate that Booker will most likely make the cut.
