The obstacles continue to mount for the Phoenix Suns. After a dominant stretch, the team lost their nine-game winning streak last night against the Houston Rockets. Along with the loss, the team also took a major blow with the team’s superstar, Devin Booker. The star guard walked off the court late in the game after tangling his right ankle with his teammate Royce O’Neale.
Hours after Booker walked down to the locker room, the injury report ahead of the OKC Thunder game revealed that he will be out with a sprained ankle. While it seemed like the star would make his return sooner than expected, the team’s coach Frank Vogel dropped a shocking update. Ahead of the OKC clash, he revealed that there isn’t any timeline for D-Book‘s return as he was still undergoing assessments. And, he also stated that the team will provide further information on the star’s health on Tuesday.

The story of the Valley side in this season has been about the star guards’ injuries. In fact, the team strangely had a shortage of traditional point guards in the beginning of the season after Bradley Beal and Devin Booker missed a stretch of games. Above all, it took quite sometime for the Big 3, Kevin Durant, D-book, and Beal, to make their union’s debut.
And, even after that, they hardly played games together as they suffered constant injuries. Now, the team will miss out on their star point guard for an indefinite time. Booker has missed 10 games already in this season, averaging 27 points with 6 assists per game.
Nevertheless, it didn’t seem to trouble the Suns’ run to a grave extent as KD stood on the court as a lone wolf to help the side win games.

Shorthanded Suns host the lethal Thunder
Ahead of tonight’s match-up, the Thunder suffered a surprise attack from the San Antonio Spurs. Whenever Victor Wembanyama faced Chet Holmgren on the court, it is never short of drama. Both rookies went toe-to-toe in their recent clash, and it was the Frenchman who had the last laugh.

Now that the OKC tasted an embarrassing loss, the team would look to assert their dominance in tonight’s game. Especially, the rookie center would look to find solace in his defeat against Wemby.
On the other hand, the Suns have to run the game through Kevin Durant. As Jusuf Nurkić and Beal have returned to the roster, the duo should help KD in taking the game in their favor at home. Who do you think will win tonight? Let us know in the comments below.
