Nike kicked off their collaboration with Devin Booker by releasing the Nike Book 1. The Book 1s first release was just limited to 500 pairs with people like Kevin Durant, P. J. Tucker and DJ Khaled, all receiving a pair gifted from the Sun’s guard. With its initial release, the Book 1’s quickly gained popularity among NBA players, and players like Tyler Herro and Mikal Bridges were spotted showing off their new pair of shoes during games.
With LeBron James posting himself rocking his new Book 1 Pythons on his Instagram story, the Book 1 frenzy hasn’t left the NBA yet. The NBA star captioned the story “Tough,” referring to the shoes he received as a gift from Devin Booker following their win against Brazil. The snakeskin print on the shoes gives them a swanky look, amped up by the python texture. Taking inspiration from classic models like the Air Force 1 and Air Jordan 1, the Book 1 “Python” sneakers look dope.

In addition to this, Steve Kerr was impressed with his game on both sides of the court. “He’s[Devin Booker] probably the guy who has been the most adaptable to go from a different role in the NBA to a new one here,” Team USA coach Steve Kerr said. “He’s such a big scorer in the league, but just like in Tokyo, he’s adapted to being an on-ball guy, ball mover. The offense clicks when he’s out there, the defense is really good.”
Additionally, Booker’s 18 points on a 6-9 clip, while sinking five shots from downtown, played a big role in Team USA locking in a dominant win over Brazil in the quarterfinals. Now, entering their semifinal game against Serbia, Team USA is riding high, confident they’ll grab the gold when this Olympic run is over.
Having already won a gold medal with Team USA in the 2020 Olympics, averaging over 9 points per game, Devin Booker is looking to add another to his collection. Will he be able to do that? Leave your thoughts in the comments below!
