Booker is BACK! Showing some sick moves today. The Suns shone as Booker carried his team to a 133-115 win over the T’Wolves. Boosting the lineup, he scored 31 points, 4 rebounds, and 5 assists in just 26 minutes. Last season, Booker, who was already struggling with a strained right calf, sustained the injury after only 35 minutes in a losing matchup against the Spurs.

Today, the Wolves stumbled upon a defeat at the hands of the Suns who broke the Suns’ 7-game win streak. In a postgame interview today, Booker talks about getting on the court and playing after his injury. Moreover, he also made an interesting admission about his opponents.

Today, Both KD and Booker scored 31 points, with Booker coming back from a right calf injury that occurred earlier this month. However, Booker’s game didn’t seem like he had any warming up left to do. Although he missed the last 5 games, he still played with elevated potential that now stands justified by the Suns win.

Admitting to take out Rudy Gobert and Karl Anthony Towns, Booker says, “Yeah I think we did great on the defense end, um getting stops and then playing fast you know that was a point of emphasis for us is get the ball out get in transition and try to run their big man as much as we can”.

In his effort to stay on the court for longer, Booker says “I did that last time too so, I’m a little hard-headed but I learned my lesson,” pressing on what caused his injury in the first place.

Last season was already giving a glimpse of this injury-riddled season for Booker. In a post-season game, Booker had a good start, however, he left Game 2 as the third quarter took off. Evidently, he was diagnosed with a grade 1 hamstring injury, which resulted in Booker missing the following three games.

Further, almost a year later on October 2023, Booker sprained his left ankle as he tweaked his left foot during the fourth quarter in a matchup against Golden State. This affected his play as the Suns lost to the Lakers. Unfortunately, he had to sit out with his left foot all sored up.

Now, with Booker’s return on the Hardwood, it’s a double celebration for the Suns as they have broken Minnesota’s 7-game winning streak. Despite being the NBA’s top defensive team, it got tough for the Wolves to slow down the Suns. On the other hand, the Suns had previously lost 5 out of 7 games, however, today took control at the beginning of the second quarter and there was no looking back.
