“When you have so many games, so many limited days to practice and time to practice, there is always that slippage.” For Detroit Pistons head coach JB Bickerstaff, not having enough time to correct his team’s mishaps has led to even more of the same situation. This is unfortunate since the Pistons can certainly use all the help they can get. After all, their next opponents in the NBA Cup tourney are the Milwaukee Bucks, aka the team against whom they hold a 0-10 win record! Fortunately, if there is one thing that works for the Pistons, it is that they aren’t in a precarious position on the injury front.

According to the Detroit Pistons Injury Report, Bobi Klintman is the only player in the ‘OUT’ category. Drafted by the Pistons during the recent offseason, the player started experiencing issues with his calf even before the preseason. According to Bickerstaff, Klintman was only supposed to “take a little bit of time” off to recover.

Once it was detected that the star had sustained a calf contusion, however, he was ruled out indefinitely. If beat writer Coty M. Davis’s recent report is to be believed, then Klintman is “moving” and “improving.” Therefore, we can expect him to return to the court for his debut in the upcoming days. However, he will still be ‘OUT’ when his team takes on the Milwaukee Bucks.

Speaking of the Bucks, their injury report would put the Pistons to shame. The franchise has not one, but four players listed from their side. Small Forward Khris Middleton, continues dealing with his long-term ankle ailments. Therefore, he won’t be making his season debut against Cade Cunningham and Co.

During a recent interview with the Journal Sentinel, the player gave an update on his condition by stating “It’s the same, man. I feel good. I feel like I’m progressing. It’s just slower. Slower than I want it to be.”

Meanwhile, after recovering from a right patella tendinopathy, Giannis Antetokounmpo is now back on the report due to a stomach illness. Fortunately, he remains in the ‘Day-To-Day’ category with a probable status, which increases the odds of his availability. The ‘Greek Freak’ shares the ‘probable’ status with MarJon Beauchamp and Taurean Prince, as they recover from a hamstring ailment, and a right quadriceps contusion, respectively.

With these injury updates, both teams will most likely continue playing with their adjusted starting lineups.

Given that Bobi Klintman is a rookie who still hasn’t proven himself on the NBA court, coaches didn’t place him anywhere close to the starting five. Therefore, his absence won’t affect the Pistons that much. In light of this information, analysts expect the starting lineup for the Detroit Pistons to look something like this:
