Draymond Green chooses not to believe the Pelicans threat. The Golden State Warriors star forward took a subtle jab at Zion Williamson, despite Charles Barkley’s promising words about him. Chuck stated that the Pelicans, who are currently in 6th seed with 33 wins, as one of the most threatful teams in the season. In his exact words, Chuck said, “With Zion and those guys down in New Orleans… I don’t think anybody wants to play the Pelicans.”
However, Green argued back and threw shade at the 23-year-old. He said, “He’s definitely taking the next step but, I don’t think anybody’s worried about the New Orleans Pelicans.”

The Dubs star spent his time witnessing the All-Star game alongside the Inside Guys crew tonight. During the run of play, Charles Barkley and Green went back and forth, discussing various affairs in the season. Notably, Green even spilled the beans on the Warriors’ attempt to lure LeBron James.
In that same vein, the duo went on to discuss about the New Orleans Pelicans. The team has had an impressive record compared to their last season. After its attempt to barely qualify for the Play-in Tournament, they missed their chance at the playoff spot. Along with that, the team also dealt with Zion’s fitness and injury woes.
Nevertheless, the team turned it around this season. Williamson got into better shape and he might break his own personal record by playing more games in a season. The star’s personal record was 61 games in his sophomore year. Importantly, the 23-year-old has been working in tandem with Brandon Ingram to give his team a hope at the ring.
On the other hand, the Warriors have barely got their head out of the water and Green denies the Pelicans’ threat. Let’s take a closer look at DrayMagic’s statement.

In the Warriors’ latest encounter with the Pelicans in January 11, they got decimated for a blow-out 105-141 loss. The Warriors were in a pretty bad state around that time. Moses Moody’s 21 points was the only positive in that game. However, the Bay Area team has changed a lot since that game.
Draymond Green‘s return from suspension, Jonathan Kuminga‘s break out phase, Brandin Podziemski’s step-up and Stephen Curry‘s explosive performance turned the tables around for the team. The team is currently in 8-2 record in the last 10 games.
In that sense, the Warriors may not have to worry about the Pelicans, as suggested by Green.
