Success on the NBA court is not an easy one. The path to greatness is getting up day after day and breaking records that were once unimaginable. And no one embodies this better than LeBron James. The 39-year-old had crossed another milestone in a game against the Cleveland Cavaliers, one he shares with basketball legend Kobe Bryant

The things LeBron is doing right now will not be done again in a long time. However, all the success is only guaranteed with more shot attempts.

After Kobe, LeBron has missed the most career shots

With many years left in LeBron’s enduring career, he recently became the second player in NBA history, to miss 13,892 career shots. And Black Mamba is the leader on this presumably embarrassing list with 14,481 missed shots. To put this in perspective, Kobe Bryant was playing as a shooting guard. That means over 48% of his shot attempts were between 14 to 22 feet from the basket. He was one of the greatest jump shooters.

Almost half of Lebron James’ points over 18000, have come on the paint, where he thrives best. This is a man who, over the last three seasons, has played either the center or the power forward positions. Yet, this is where James comes on the worst shooting stats; nearing even more missed shots. Quite possibly LeBron is going to pass Kobe for the most missed shot attempts in their career if he stays healthy.

LeBron James is still a force, shutting down haters

LeBron, primarily at this stage in his career, either scores an uncontested basket or shoots from a contested outside shot. The point is, even after missing many attempts; he is still bricking shots. James just became the first player ever to reach 39,060 points. To put that in perspective, Steph Curry and Paul George have 38,000 combined. The soon-to-be 39-year-old is shooting a career-best at 59%. LeBron hasn’t shot this well since he was in Miami 10 years ago.

He is also leading the entire league in the fourth-quarter points this season as well. King’s got Skip Bayless’s career in shambles right now. Certified Bron hater has had no choice but to show love to him lately. “This is so amazing. The pure longevity of avoiding career setback injury. I’ve never seen anybody this durable.” Bayless shared. Shutting down his biggest hater has to come in his long 21-year career resume. Glazing is the only way to go about LeBron’s career right now.
