Amid the excitement and thrill of the NBA Summer League in Las Vegas, some bitter incidents have taken the spotlight. In an uncanny series of events, the No.1 pick in the 2023 NBA Draft, Victor Wembanyama has had to deal with some controversy early in his career. After his bodyguard allegedly pushed renowned pop star Britney Spears, the 19-year-old was on the verge of early legal trouble.

Although Spears initially filed legal charges against the Frenchman, she is reported to have dropped them since. However, her husband, Sam Asghari, had some strong words for the NBA and the San Antonio Spurs in a recent Thread.

Victor Wembanyama faces trouble from Britney Spears’ husband

Wembanyama has been in the public eye for several months now. The No.1 pick has had an unprecedented buzz surrounding him for quite some time. However, since the incident with Britney Spears, Wembanyama has been receiving extensive backlash.

In a series of events since the incident, Britney and her legal team have taken strong action against the No.1 pick. Britney first put out a firm statement regarding the issue on Instagram. Not soon after, the pop singer’s team filed for legal charges. Although these charges were later dropped, the incident created a stir in social media.

Spears’ husband, Sam Asghari, later put out a strongly worded post, slamming Wembanyama’s security personnel and defending the 7’5 Spurs player. The legal charges were dropped and Wembanyama was also let off the hook by Asghari.

However, the issue does not seem to be over yet. Asghari issued a stern warning to the NBA and the Spurs franchise in a recent Instagram post from the Spurs shocking the NBA world.

Asghari makes some stern demands

To keep the fans hooked, the San Antonio Spurs posted a picture of Wembanyama on their Instagram before the NBA Summer League. However, along with several fans commenting on the post about the Britney Spears incident, was Sam Asghari.

In a furious comment on the post, Sam mentioned, “Still waiting on that apology. Until then we assume your team and the NBA is okay with assault and violence against women.”

The Spurs and the NBA are both yet to reply to this statement, but it is clear that Spears’ husband is not satisfied with their efforts to deal with this situation. With the popular couple demanding a public apology, the NBA and the Spurs franchise will have to act soon.
