He disapproved of the Los Angeles Clippers‘ $349 NBA season ticket while discussing with the team’s star. Steve questioned the ongoing way of working in the NBA as he revealed his reasons behind it.

The Clippers owner was vocal about his franchise’s method of distributing season tickets while talking about it Paul. So, in the recent episode of Podcast P with Paul George,?he provided a solution for it. “We’re working on what I would call a season pass instead of a season ticket,”?he stated, before explaining the concept.

The billionaire candidly talked about the cons of letting the fans buy the season tickets starting with, “You sell it if you’re not going to the game”. “I don’t like that,”?he mentioned, expressing his disgust before adding, “That’s how we get all the evil other team fans in our building”.

So, he wanted to introduce the NBA to the fresh idea of a season pass as it would reduce the chances of away fans’ arrival on the home court. “A season pass, like a Netflix account,” he explained, mentioning, “You can share it with 3 or 4 people”.?Thus, the exchange of hands would decrease as “You can’t just sell it to somebody else”.

Ballmer admitted that the current $349 model had become a habit for fans. So, this new concept might face resistance from the supporters. That’s why he suggested, “We gotta sell that at a low price,”?to attract a number of Clipper fans to the arena. This brings another aspect of reality to the forefront.

The local rivalry and a change in times

The franchise will be moving out of the Crypto.com arena soon and with that, they are set to mark a change in their regularity. Their local rivalry with the Los Angeles Lakers marked an important time in the history of the franchise.

The team’s search for a championship carries on to date, but under the ownership of Ballmer, they have made significant progress till now. The star-studded roster consisting of George himself is entering the season yet again as a contender.
