The hope for the Los Angeles Lakers to secure their 18 championship title seems to have met a dead end now. Barely a few minutes ago, the team lost their third consecutive playoff game against the Denver Nuggets. While winning the remaining three games, and an additional one, can work in the franchise’s favor, the possibility of the same happening is very low. As the NBA world realizes this fact, many individuals are sending their reactions in support of the Lakers, especially for its lead scorer: LeBron James.

Renowned record producer Metro Boomin took to his official X account to share his thoughts on the Lakers’ recent loss. Instead of mentioning the roster as a whole, the millionaire specially mentioned LeBron, stating he feels bad for the 39-year-old player and that “he don’t deserve this”.

Fans might remember that if there is one person who Metro Boomin has been involved with in a long running beef, then it is LeBron’s friend and rapper Drake. In fact, Drake even highlighted the same during his recent diss track. Mentioning the producer in just one line, the rapper could he heard saying “Metro, shut your h*e a*s up and make some drums.” Given the situation, however, the producer’s gesture towards the Lakers leading star spoke volumes.

LeBron James came out on top during the recent Lakers-Nuggets clash. Keeping up with his average, the player proceeded to drop 26 points, 6 rebounds and 9 assists. He shot 12-20 in terms of field goals, 1-6 in terms of 3-pointers and 1-2 in terms of free throws. He was also assisted by Anthony Davis and Austin Reaves in the scoring effort, each dropping 33 and 22 points respectively. Unfortunately, an equal offensive play put forward by the Nuggets, along with D’Angelo Rusell scoring 0 points during his 24 minutes on the court, diminished the Lakers efforts.

For Metro Boomin, who is currently in Dubai and had to wake up at 8 am to watch the game, the end result would have been bitterly disappointing. He now joins thousands of NBA fans in wondering whether LeBron may have just lost the opportunity to secure one more championship title before he officially retires from the NBA.

Metro Boomin reacted after LeBron James vibed to “Like That” during NBA game

When it comes to the music industry, LeBron James is more closely associated with Drake than anyone else. Despite being aware of this fact, Metro Boomin is not one who lets his personal feelings affect his opinion of the NBA player. The producer is a fan of basketball, and he never shies away from letting his opinion known about games. He would especially not stay out of the conversation if it was his song that the Lakers star was grooving to.

A few weeks ago, during happier times for the Lakers, the team was facing off against the Brooklyn Nets. Before the game could commence, Metro Boomin and Future’s song “Like That” started playing at the Barclays Center. A video highlighted by ESPN Journalist Omar Raja highlighted LeBron vibing to the music and singing out the lyrics as the track continued playing. The player later went on to score an impressive 40 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists during the game.
