Stephen Curry dropped a bothering update on his ankle ahead of the Lakers clash. The Golden State Warriors superstar missed the last three games after a scary ankle injury against the Chicago Bulls. The Bay Area side felt the heat in Curry’s absence as they lost two out of those three games. While the season is on the line, the Baby-faced Assassin’s latest update on his return might affect the Dubs all the more.

Speaking to the reporters, Curry said, Can’t fast forward or cheat the healing process. Kind of on the fence whether you can push through and not make it worse but deal the pain… Have a little bit of work on the court… It’s tough to miss games. You can’t make things worse, knowing what time of the year we are in right now.”

The moment after Stephen Curry rolled his ankle, it was speculations galore in the NBA world. Some injury experts even thought that the superstar sustained a fracture. However, the Dubs management shut down the rumors and announced that Steph suffered an ankle sprain. On Tuesday, the medical team doubled it down by providing a clean chit and allowing on-court activities for the 4x NBA Champion.

It was enough for many to assume that he would return to the court for the biggest clash of the week. The El Clasico of the NBA between the Los Angeles Lakers and Warriors. Unfortunately, Curry’s participation in the game looks bleak after his recent interaction with the reporters.

The San Francisco side has to make the most out of their upcoming games to have a fair chance at the playoff. They are currently in the 10th seed, two wins behind the Lakers. And going deep into the regular season, tomorrow’s game is a crucial one considering the points table.

Lakers vs Warriors – Why is it an important game?

The Lakers and Warriors are currently the 9th and 10th seed in the West and have remained the same over the last few weeks. When it comes down to the Play-in Tournament, the 9th and 10th seeds take each other on in a knockout game to have a shot at the playoff contention.

Since both teams have been fighting for the 9th seed for a long time, these two teams will most probably face each other in the knockout game. In their last two outings this season, each has secured a win. Notably, in the game where both superstars LeBron James and Stephen Curry participated, it went down the wire for an overtime thriller. The Lakers, however, had the last laugh.
