Despite LeBron James Ruining Son’s Historic Night, Kevin Durant’s Mom Shows Love to the King

The Los Angeles Lakers dominated the comfortable Phoenix Suns in the last quarter of the game. The Suns cruise through the game with comfortable lead until third quarter amid Kevin Durant’s flowing buckets on his historic game. However, it didn’t last long as the LeBron James  force took control over the fourth quarter. Moreover, the 4x NBA Champion not only ruined KD’s monumental day but also shared a heartwarming moment with his mom, Wanda Durant.

The Lakers faced the Suns in their home court, after facing an embarrassing loss against the Denver Nuggets. Fans and pundits went on criticizing the LA side. Especially Anthony Davis for not producing any point in the last quarter of the game. Nevertheless, in the second game, even though they looked off-color until the third quarter, the team exploded in the last quarter. Thanks to LeBron James.

Moments after ruining KD’s historic day, LeBron James shows love

Kevin Durant started off the Thursday night game, 37 points short of the Houston Rockets legend Hakeem Olajuwon’s scoring record. While the stage was set, KD nabbed the opportunity with both hands and reached to the 12th spot on the All-Time Leaders list. KD dropped 39 points and went past Olajuwon’s 26,946 points.

While everything went right, and the Suns were about to seal the game, as they held a 12-point lead at end of 3rd quarter, King James stepped in the last quarter. He played the entire stretch and scored 10 out of 21 in the last quarter. Eventually leading the team to a comfortable 100-95 victory over the Suns. James’ effort restricted the Slim Reaper from celebrating his historic night with a win.

Following the game, he had a heartwarming moment with KD’s mother. After giving the post-game interview, Wanda stopped James midway and gave a long hug.

KD’s mother gets animated during the game

During Eastern Conference semifinal game 7 between the Milwaukee Bucks and Brooklyn Nets, Wanda had a hilarious moment with PJ Tucker. While Durant tried to grab a rebound ball, a collision with Tucker caused a nasty fall for Durant. Referee immediately called foul and KD went to the FT line but Wanda from the courtside wasn’t happy. She went on screaming at Tucker for hurting her son.

Tucker turned to her side and said, “I love you,” and Wanda replied back saying, “I love you too,” leaving the commentators in hysterics.
