The Golden State Warriors got their first win of the NBA preseason. Stephen Curry and Co. beat their rivals, the Los Angeles Lakers, 125-108 in their preseason opener. But it was not the 4-time Champion Stephen Curry who led the charge in the Warriors victory. With LeBron James out for the Lakers, all the Golden State Warriors superstars sat on the bench for the majority of the game. It was Stephen Curry?s 21-year-old teammate, Jonathan Kuminga, who got revenge from the Lakers for last season?s Western Conference Semifinals matchup.

Even Wizards star Kyle Kuzma approved Jonathan Kuminga?s performance despite his new teammate Jordan Poole?s bad blood with Warriors veteran Draymond Green.

Jonathan Kuminga started his NBA preseason with a bang. He led the Warriors in scoring with 24 points and 8 rebounds against Anthony Davis-led LA Lakers. The 21-year-old took charge as his veteran leaders saw most of the game sitting on the bench. Kuminga?s impressive performance even caught the attention of King James? former teammate, Kyle Kuzma. The Wizards star showered some love on the Warriors starlet despite his new teammate Jordan Poole?s beef with ex-DPOY Draymond Green, ?Looks like Kuminga improved!!!? The praise from Kuzma came as a surprise for the NBA World as his new teammate Jordan Poole left the Warriors on bad terms.

It has been exactly one year since the video of Warriors Center Draymond Green punching Jordan Poole during Warriors practice went viral on social media. The incident caused a rift in the Golden State Warriors locker room, and they were never the same after. Draymond was fined after punching his 24-year-old teammate and took some time away from the team. The Warriors, however, sided with their veteran leader after the season ended as they gave Green a 4-year $100 million extension and traded Poole to the Washington Wizards.
