Stephen Curry has had a triumphant offseason. After a disappointing finish to the 2022-23 NBA campaign, Steph won the celebrity ACC golf tournament and $125,000 prize money. Soon after Stephen Curry won the ACC tournament, cheers and praise spread across the golf course. During the press interaction, one reporter asked if he was going to quit basketball to take up golf. Taken aback by the question, Curry said, “Life is good,” in NBA. He meant the paycheck. While he kept dodging the question, in a recent interview with Today.com, he answered ‘the question’ with sincerity.

The interviewer asked Steph how he was drawing out things, considering there are only two years left in his current contract and he’s hitting the 35-year-old mark.

When asked whether he has ever thought about retirement, he said, “You do start thinking about it… But I m giving myself all those chances to be successful.” Moreover, Steph also shed light on the practicality aspect of an athlete’s life.

While promoting his documentary, Steph featured in many interviews. During one such interview, the host asked Steph whether he gets nervous even after 15 seasons in the NBA.

The Chef replied, “I feel like that’s- if I don’t get nervous or adrenaline, that’ll be the sign that I need to quit.”

A rather powerful response from the 2-time NBA MVP. Perhaps he is referring to the desire to win that can lead to anxiety and adrenaline. It can certainly be a driving force for athletes, as confirmed by Stephen Curry.
