Rich Paul, founder of the Klutch Sports Group, is better known for representing the Los Angeles Lakers’ MVP, LeBron James. People recognize Paul as one of the most powerful sports agents—not just in the realm of the NBA, but also otherwise.

Paul’s client list is mighty impressive. Along with LeBron James, Pauls’ got Draymond Green, Moses Moody, Darius Garland, Anthony Davis, Scottie Pippen Jr., and the list goes on. Despite cashing out a $500,749,353 check, Paul’s clients aren’t the highest-paid NBA athletes.

If James isn’t the highest-paid NBA legend, then who is? You’ll be rather surprised to know that LeBron James hasn’t been one of the highest-paid NBA athletes in the last five years.

In fact, it is the Golden State Warriors guard, Stephen Curry, who’s surpassed LeBron James, Nikola Jokic, and Joel Embiid. Curry is currently the highest-paid baller. Stephen Curry will make a whopping $51,915,615 this in-season. In fact, Curry is projected to be the highest paid NBA-player next year too.

Following suit is Nikola Jokic, the second-most-paid Nuggets’ star. Jokic makes $47,607,350 and there is an extra $431,000 for reaching the playoffs. The Denver Nuggets’ MVP is making 44% more than he did last season. Clearly, Jokic’s agents. Mike Lindeman and Jeff Schwartz did a fine job this season. 

Has Rich Paul lost his touch?

Rich Paul has pulled off some amazing feats for his representation this season. Sadly, it wasn’t enough. Rich Paul negotiated a 4-year, $100 million extension for Draymond Green with the Golden State Warriors. Again, thanks to Paul, Jerami Grant got a 5-year, $160 million contract with the Blazers. On the other hand, Fred VanVleet secured a 3-year, $130 million deal with the Rockets.

And yet, none of Rich Paul’s clients are the highest-paid NBA players. However, that doesn’t imply that Paul is a poor agent. Rich Paul has pulled off massive contracts with his clients from time to time. Paul’s got a mastermind and is an absolute legend at negotiation. Because of this, he is currently representing some of the most talented NBA stars and is the second-highest-paid NBA agent. 

In fact, Rich Paul’s relationship with LeBron James goes way back. They were friends way before they become Paul become James’ agent. Besides pulling off some historic contracts for the Lakers’ legend, Paul has also landed several endorsement deals for James.
