Remember that iconic photo shoot featuring Kevin Garnett and Randy Moss? If you do, a new version of that just dropped featuring Minnesota’s one and only Anthony Edwards. Well, scratch that! It features two of Minnesota’s finest and the other one is not from the Timberwolves.
Ant-Man got a partner to recreate the Garnett x Moss picture and it is none other than the Minnesota Vikings WR, Justin Jefferson. According to Adam Schefter, the duo are featured in ESPN’s Cover Story that was published Tuesday. Also, there’d be a sneak peak coming up on Sunday NFL Countdown. Anthony Edwards and Jettas can be seen posing in all black attires with the Timberwolves star holding a football, while Jefferson spun a basketball on his finger.

The picture from 2000 featured Garnett and Moss in one another’s uniforms with the former holding a football while looking up. Whereas the NFL star looked straight into the camera donning the T’Wolves jersey. A sneak peek of the recent shoot showed Edwards in the NFL jersey holding the football while Jefferson was in Ant’s jersey.
Football is not an unfamiliar territory for Edwards. The Georgia-born athlete has a background in football as he was one of the best running backs in the country at the age group of 10. Ant even recently expressed his desire to switch to the NFL after carrying out some important business.

The NBA vs NFL debate has been hot for eternity and that reached a boiling point a few months back. While many claimed to be successful in the other sport and many dismissed those perceived daydreams, it’s tough to doubt a freak of nature like Anthony Edwards. If Edwards hadn’t withdrawn from football because of an injury concern, then the world could have witnessed the star sporting a helmet on the field. He was that determined to pursue the sport till 10th grade. Even during his recent interview on Open Thoughts with Marco Summers, the 23-year-old even confessed that he could be “the first one” to play and excel in both sports.

When the host asked whether he was seriously going to give it a thought, Edwards said, “I’m gonna try.” But prior to that, he mentioned that he has a bigger fish to catch. “First I gotta handle my business in the NBA,” the shooting guard added. “As a time, Minnesota organization, we want to win a championship. After that, we’ll figure that out.” Though he once told ESPN, “Basketball is my No. 1” as it got him through a lot, the Ant-Man now revealed on Cover Story, “If I win a ring in the next 3-4 years, I’m going to play football.”
The Timberwolves would certainly not let him go now as the competition has gotten tougher with Karl-Anthony Town’s exit. But with Edwards, there’s no telling if he decides to follow Michael Jordan’s footsteps and tries his hand in a different sport before returning to hardwood again. Guess those MJ comparisons were not just noise after all.
