Nikola Jokic is continuing his dominance on the floor. With their second back-to-back win over the Los Angeles Lakers in Ball Arena, the Denver Nuggets already seem like a shoo-in for the second round of the playoffs. However, there might be some serious trouble coming the Joker’s way, and it has to do with his brother, Strahinja Jokić. The Slovenian is one of three brothers, and they seem to be unaffected by his win.

Strahinja straight-up punched a fan in the stands as the Nuggets won 101-99. However, no charges have appeared so far, but that’s no reason to rest. This is because the Denver police have finally broken their silence on the matter and they don’t seem to be on Jokic’s side. According to a post on X,” Denver PD said it is “working to identify the person in the video who was struck, and encourages anyone who was involved or witnessed this firsthand to contact the Denver Police Department.”

This is potentially damning news for Jokic, as even the NBA is investigating the incident, according to Athlon Sports. With only two games left to dispatch the LA Lakers, this scuffle has now opened a floodgate of possibilities for the defending champions. The Jokic brothers have always been vocal supporters of The Joker but this time might have taken it too far.

The entire incident is on camera, and the details of it are quite clear. In the clip,  Jokic’s elder brother, Strahinja is leaping over a seat at Ball Arena and navigating through the crowd, aiming to approach a male spectator. Upon reaching proximity, Strahinja delivered a forceful punch with his right hand, striking the fan in the face.

Despite the altercation, both parties continued to exchange heated words, with Strahinja’s brother, Nemanja, providing support. Nearby, Jokic’s wife, Natalija, held their young daughter and attempted to intervene. The cause of the altercation remains unclear. Interestingly, none of this influenced Jokic’s game as he finished the night with 27 points, 20 rebounds, and 10 assists in 41 minutes of action.

With the next two games in Cryto.com Arena, the balance still tips in the Nugget’s favor. However, Adam Silver’s investigation of the matter might have some dire consequences on the Jokic brother’s entrance into the games for the remainder of the postseason.
