At 36, DeAndre Jordan holds a condensed role with the Denver Nuggets. He usually acts as the backup center, only averaging about 12 minutes per game. However, when playing against the Mavericks, Jordan packed some venom. In the blowout win, he turned back the clock to ‘Lob City’ days, catching two dunks from Russell Westbrook. Following that moment, though, it opened up some suspicions.

When speaking to former NBA players Lou Williams and Chandler Parsons, DeAndre Jordan was asked about the general reaction of his friends. And the former Clippers center revealed a secret text he received. “Well, Jeff Green texted me and was like, ‘Get ready for a drug test. That was pretty funny,” he said while sharing a laugh with the panel.

Moreover, the man of the hour joked about his past with the Mavericks. “I always like playing in Dallas. I don’t know why. There’s obviously no history there,” he said while giggling, again. DeAndre Jordan hails from Houston, Texas, hence playing with his family probably watching along, is an upside. However, he did play around with his prior connection to the franchise.

Notably, when at his peak with the Clippers, he had a chance to join the franchise and play for a team close to home. The talks went well, and it seemed that DeAndre Jordan would put on the coveted jersey in 2015.

“ESPN sources say DeAndre Jordan is on verge of accepting Mavs’ four-year, $80M+ max offer. Dallas firmly in lead and decision likely today.” Well, this was one of the reports via The Stein Line, 9-ish years ago. Kid you not, he was closer to heading out of LA, than re-signing a deal.

However, after discussions with Blake Griffin, the hoopster decided to remain a Clipper. It sparked a range of boos but it’s commonly believed that both the player and fans reconciled, when he joined the franchise for a single season in 2018.

But now, well past that point, DeAndre Jordan doesn’t face such scrutiny anymore. But that wasn’t all he revealed during his conversation on Run It Back. The bruising center also gave away some locker room secrets concerning Nikola Jokic.

Nikola Jokic loves 50 Cent! Yes, you read that correctly…

By appearance, Nikola Jokic is simple. He doesn’t opt for bold fashion, barely posts on social media, and is a man of few words. His primary focus remains finding ways to help the Denver Nuggets succeed. He is doing so by once again posting audacious numbers.

However, appearances can be deceiving. His teammate De’Andre Jordan revealed a surprising trait about the Joker. Outside of basketball to date, there are only a few things known about the Joker. One of them being his love for horse racing.

But as it happens to be, the Nuggets’ keystone also enjoys the rap genre! In particular, he might have an affinity toward 50 Cent… DeAndre Jordan revealed the Serb’s choice of locker room music and the one song from 50 Cent that he remembers like a play call.

“Any time Nikola Jokic requests a song, if it’s not Serbian folk music, it is ‘Many Men’ by 50-Cent. And he knows the words from start to finish. Yeah, that is a fact,” DeAndre Jordan revealed on the same podcast with Lou Williams and Chandler Parsons.

If it’s his pre-match choice, it’s surely working. The Joker has been on a tear once again averaging 30.6 points and 9.9 assists per game. However, the Denver Nuggets are yet to find a solid base. Key player absences at regular intervals are a big reason why they haven’t found their footing this year. With a few favorable matchups, the team will hope to go unscathed and better their record.
