The Denver Nuggets did not have a good start to the NBA season’s second half. For one thing, they suffered a major defeat at the hands of the Los Angeles Lakers, aka the team against whom they had won 13 of their last 14 matchups. To make matters worse, their injury report continues holding the names of major players. This complicates things as the team is set to travel to the Gainbridge Fieldhouse to take on the Indiana Pacers. While there may not be any good news about other players, fortunately, there’s some about Jamal Murray and Aaron Gordon.

According to the Denver Nuggets Injury Report, both Jamal Murray and Aaron Gordon are listed as probable for the upcoming game. This means that, unless a last-minute emergency occurs, both scorers will be present to assist Nikola Jokic during the crucial matchup.

Jamal Murray has been dealing with a left knee ailment since a little before mid-January. What was initially soreness later turned into knee inflammation. Fortunately, since the beginning of the new year, the starter has missed only one game— the one against the Orlando Magic earlier this month. On the other hand, power forward Aaron Gordon is currently dealing with Right Calf Injury Management. The ailment already caused him to miss the matchups against the New Orleans Pelicans and the Portland Trail Blazers this month. Fans did wonder if he will be playing the upcoming game, and well, thanks to the recent update, we know he will be undoubtedly available.

Unfortunately, for the Denver Nuggets squad, the good news stops there. Vlatko Cancar, who hasn’t played since November 19, is expected to return to the court soon amidst his recovery from the arthroscopic surgery on his left knee. However, he will remain ‘OUT’ during the matchup against the Indiana Pacers. Meanwhile, Peyton Watson continues to recover from his right knee sprain, and won’t be evaluated again for another couple of days. DaRon Holmes II, who deals with a torn right Achilles tendon, will not make his season debut. However, as highlighted by TheDNVR.com, he was able to participate in portions of Wednesday’s practice. Therefore, the date of his arrival to the NBA court is nearing.

As for the Indiana Pacers, the squad’s injury problems are a bit better than its Western Conference Rivals. James Johnson holds a ‘Day-To-Day’ status as he recovers from an illness. The same goes for T. J. McConnell, who is recovering from a right ankle sprain. Isaiah Jackson hasn’t played a game since November and will continue being ‘OUT’ due to his torn Achilles.

Given these updates, too many changes aren’t expected in either team’s starting lineups.
