This summer saw multiple eye-catching trades, but none left jaws dropping quite like a single tweet from Shams Charania just before media day. A trade that brought Karl-Anthony Towns to New York in exchange for Julius Randle and Donte DiVincenzo. The impact of this move is evident in the performances of both teams ever since, with one side clearly emerging as the winner. However, a strange claim surfaced regarding this trade, prompting a reaction from a Knicks star.
A page on X, Big Knick Energy, posted, “I hate to admit this but…..acquiring Karl Anthony Towns for Julius Randle is one of the biggest robberies in NBA history.” No one saw the trade coming. In fact, KAT and his Timberwolves teammate Anthony Edwards were all geared up for the new season. That’s when the 7-footer was informed by the franchise’s president, Tim Connelly, that they wanted to part ways with him.
From there, things moved quickly. Currently, the Knicks sit at the 3rd spot in the Eastern Conference, while the Timberwolves are at 10th on the opposite side of the table. But calling it a robbery certainly feels a bit harsh. The post quickly caught the attention of Precious Achiuwa, who retweeted it by stating, “You know what to do bro.”

While the 25-year-old believed he made himself clear with his reaction, many fans were left confused about his message. Soon, his comment section was flooded with fans expressing their uncertainty about what he was trying to convey.
Achiuwa’s tweet left fans confused about Karl-Anthony Towns’ alleged conspiracy trade
“I’m so confused,” wrote one fan. Well, there were many who shared the same sentiment. Some tried to figure it out, but only Precious himself can confirm what he meant.
Demanding an explanation from Precious, a fan stated, “This is vague dude. Explain.” Of course, no one was quite sure. It seemed he was trying to dismiss the narrative that the Knicks had pulled off a robbery by acquiring Karl-Anthony Towns, but what he actually wanted the page to do remained unclear.
If at all he was defending, then it is not only because he was a part of the franchise, but also because the Timberwolves had received a fair share in return as part of the deal.
With the amount of confusion his post was creating, someone commented, “Precious brotha might want to delete this.” They felt that the offensive center might consider deleting the post, as it didn’t make sense to most of the audience.

One fan wrote, “This a real ny response if u don’t know what he saying it’s not meant for u lol precious a real one,” hinting that they understood what Precious meant. However, when others asked for clarification, the fan refused to elaborate. It surely seemed like they were enjoying the attention.
Another fan tried to clear the air by suggesting, “He’s telling @BigKnickEnergy_ to delete the post.” This could certainly be a possibility, with Achiuwa probably trying to ask the page to remove the tweet, as the theory surrounding Karl-Anthony Towns was far from the truth.
Could that actually be what Precious was trying to convey? Or are you just as confused? Let us know your thoughts so we can get a different perspective on Precious’ puzzling tweet.
