Similarly, one of Akron Hammer’s former teammates, Dwight Howard, shared memories from their glory days. Although he has moved on from the league. The thirst to play once again remains unquenchable.

Dwight Howard Reminisces His With LeBron James and The Lakers

The three-time Defensive Player of the Year Dwight Howard is undoubtedly in the upper echelons of the game. In 2022, Howard took his talents to the e T1 League in Taiwan. Playing for Taoyuan Leopards, highlights show him dominating the league single-handedly. However, nothing feels like the NBA for the eight-time All-Star as his efforts to enter back into the league still persist.

Howard took to Instagram recently, to share a throwback photograph. In the picture, the Former NBA Champion is jumping over the rim in a practice session. While LeBron James stands in the background bewildered. “As above, so below“, the big man captioned the post. His attempts to reminisce on the past are reflective of his desire to come back to the NBA.

The 6’10 rim protector started his journey with Orlando Magic. Meanwhile, he played for several franchises. However, his most notable achievement was in the Los Angeles Lakers, where he won a championship in 2020. Howard had three separate stints in the Lakers. It was also the last NBA team he played for before leaving for Taiwan.

The Warriors Reject Dwight Howard’s NBA Re-entry

According to reports, Steve Kerr, the Warriors’ head coach, was “most interested in Dwight’s mindset”. Regardless of how the interview went, it appears that neither party came away with a contract. According to Shams Charania of The Athletic, Howard and the Warriors met and worked out for two days before Golden State decided against signing him. One factor, according to Charania, was the Warriors’ desire to “maintain flexibility” going into training camp.

Subsequently, Howard posted a cryptic tweet on X presumably in response to the rejection writing. He wrote, ?Only as a WARRIOR can one withstand the path of knowledge,? Howard wrote. ?A WARRIOR cannot complain or regret anything. His life is an endless challenge. And challenges cannot possibly be good or bad. Challenges are simply challenges.??
