Jimmy Butler is loving the racquet game. He has closely followed the US Open and has been drawn into the tennis world. He appreciated Carlos Alcaraz’s run during the US Open. Apart from that, he has constantly showered his love for Coco Gauff. And when Gauff won the US Open title, Butler was over the moon too. To hone his skills further, he picked a close cousin of tennis – Padel. The Guard showed up in all-whites and looked energetic during a competitive session. This session took place in Padium, which is a Padel Club for London. He posted several Instagram stories to showcase his love for the sport. In one of the stories, the Guard posted a photo of him serving the ball.

In another story, he posted a photo of Andre Drummond sizing up for a return. Footages suggest that Butler paired up with trainer James Scott while Drummond paired up with agent Nathan van Kooperen. In a video, Butler makes a riveting play, making an amazing jump to win a return point. Since it is offseason, the Guard is enjoying his time in London, making repeated trips. However, still, with the training camp just a few days away, he has to keep in shape.

Therefore, engaging in an intense and fast-paced game like Padel is a great way to work out. When the Guard saw the number one Padel player Javi Garrido in action, overwhelmed, he posted an Instagram story, saying, ”What in the fudge is this?” Days after the shouting out of the Spaniard, he is now enjoying this mix of tennis and squash has hit many high notes.

Last year, Butler talked a lot of trash and drew former Bulls teammate Dwyane Wade into the world of Padel. He quipped, ”Be there or be square. The loser has to donate to whatever charity of their choice. But I tell you what, I won’t be the loser. Accept my challenge, chump.” Of course, a competitor like Wade didn’t back down and accepted the challenge. After the game, the duo released a hilarious video where people learned that Butler had won the challenge.

Padel has seen massive player interest and many NBA investors have also nabbed stakes in the fast-growing sport. For Jimmy, it is about having fun and he has been on the hype train for some time now.
