Stephen A. Smith could be considered the face of ESPN when it comes to analysts for basketball. He has branched out to The Stephen A. Smith Show where he talks about topics for a more mature audience.
But one thing that Smith has his eyes set on is hosting a late-night television show. Specifically, The Jimmy Kimmel Show. The veteran NBA analyst has been a guest host on the show but to host it full-time would be ideal for him.
According to The Athletic, Smith said, “I would jump at the opportunity to try and prove I could do that. I would really enjoy making people smile and laugh.” So, if in the near future, Jimmy Kimmel ever does decide to step down, Stephen A. Smith would love to take a crack at it.
Though Smith still has two more years left on his contract with ESPN, he does want to explore other ventures in the future.
