Minnesota Timberwolves young star Anthony Edwards has made a statement in the league in a very short span with his All-Star-level performance. He impressed the 4-time champion Stephen Curry during Curry?s training camp, which led to high praise from the legend just a few days earlier saying that Edwards was destined for greatness.

Now, Anthony Edwards has found another fan in ESPN analyst Stephen A. Smith, but it is not for his skills on the court.

In the latest episode of Podcast P with Paul George, Stephen A. Smith talked about his part-time acting career. Being a full-time sports analyst, Stephen A. has played a decent number of roles in several shows and movies like General Hospital and Michael B Jordan’s Creed III. He talked about how he loves it when old people come up to him and ask for pictures and autographs recognizing him for his role in General Hospital, rather than his work on ESPN.

Stephen A. Smith praised All-Star Anthony Edwards for his role in the 2022 Adam Sandler movie, Hustle. Although the movie was based around another NBA player, Juancho Hernangomez?s character and struggle to get to the NBA, Anthony Edwards stole the show with his acting skills. Edwards played the role of Kermit Wilts, the antagonist in the movie, trash-talking Juancho?s character during the NBA draft combine. Stephen A. Smith was highly impressed with Edwards? acting, stating, ?If I produce a movie with a sports figure, I am getting Anthony Edwards. That brother did a phenomenal job.? Paul George and the rest of the panel nodded in agreement with Stephen A.
