LeBron James? young teammate Max Christie went off against the Golden State Warriors in their Summer League matchup. The 20-year-old guard even drew some MVP chants from the crowd while on the free-throw line.
But the 6?5 shooting guard sustained a hip injury during his latest matchup against the Boston Celtics. Trevor Lane from Lakersnation.com gave an update on the injury sustained by Max Christie on his YouTube channel.According to Mike Trudel, Max Christie sustained a right hip strain. He has been averaging 19 PPG, shooting 46% from the field and a whopping 50% from beyond the arc. Christie is also chipping in 6.3 free throws per game which is quite impressive given it is the Summer League.
The young guard has also managed to nab 6.3 RPG among the towering centers and forwards on the floor. Apart from all that, the 35th pick from the second round of the 2022 NBA draft has also managed an average of 3.5 APG as well.

Max Christie has been the best player on the Los Angeles Lakers roster this Summer League and one of the best players in the Summer League overall. However, according to Trevor Lane, fans may not see Christie for the rest of the tournament.
Not because of his injury but because Christie has proven that he is a reliable scorer and can be used as the second option at shooting guard behind Austin Reaves in the regular season as well.
