Days After Bronny James Came Through Cardiac Arrest, NBA Twitter Mourns Alabama’s Top High School Prospect’s Death: “Not a Coincidence”

Weeks after LeBron James’ son’s heart ailment rattled the NBA world, another tragedy hit the court. The 18-year-old Bronny James suffered a cardiac arrest during a practice session at the University of Southern California. James Jr. was rushed to the Cedars-Sinai Medical Centre for treatment and is now out of harm’s way. But even before the NBA world could take a breather, the passing away of another high-school prospect loomed over the realm.

The 17-year-old Alabama high school athlete collapsed on the gym floor and passed away. 

Tragic demise of a high school baller

Caleb White, a senior at Princeton Valley high school, passed away after suffering through a medical emergency at school. White was considered a very promising NBA prospect. The high school baller collapsed and was immediately transported to the local hospital. However, soon after, the young sensation was pronounced dead. 

Like Bronny James, Caleb White too had a heart attack, also known as a myocardial infarction. This ailment is caused when the flow of blood to the heart is suddenly blocked and the heart can’t get enough oxygen.

Again, like James Jr, White too never has a history of illness or any predisposition. This is why such medical events are so bone-chilling. 

“This is NOT normal”: NBA Fandom mourns the loss

Caleb White was considered among the top 25 basketball stars in the country. His family was looking forward to having him play this upcoming senior season. White’s death has caused an unfathomable loss to the NBA realm and the Twitter fans agree. Several came forward with their condolences:

A user said, “RIP man all of these young athletes gone way too soon.” Another agreed, “Only 17 years of age that’s heartbreaking man RIP 💔” Fans expressed their grief, “Man … WHAT THE FK IS GOING ON YALL. Prayers to his family and friends 😔”

While there were some skeptics who thought that these events were too similar to be a mere coincidence. A Twitter user tweeted, “This is NOT normal. This has NOT “always happened” this is NOT a coincidence.”

Another boldly chimed in, “Please show me an article of this happening prior to 2021, people need to be held accountable” This user, like many, believed that such incidents aren’t isolated but an after-effect of the COVID vaccines.
