It’s always “Love is in the air,” for LeBron James and Savannah James. The power couple of the NBA never fails to give adorable moments for the fans to talk about. But, it’s interesting to know that they weren’t particularly childhood lovebirds. Bron and Savannah only met in high school and decided- this is it. Surprisingly enough, the First Lady of basketball has given an insight into her teenage life on her podcast. And well, it seems to be quite intriguing to begin with.
Savannah James had a teen caller on her podcast Everybody’s Crazy. The anonymous girl told the hosts that she was 14 and in love with a boy. And despite the guy’s toxic nature, she just can’t let go of him. Well, this surprised co-host April McDaniel, whose instant reaction was: “Girl! 14 and in love?”
Within no time, Vannah unraveled her life as a 14-year-old Savannah Brinson. “Can’t relate. I wasn’t in love at 14,” she pointed out. “Had all the boyfriends at 14. I also had boyfriends who were friends. But I dated one at a time. It was raggedy and janky. It’s okay, I was 14! It didn’t matter, I was 14. I was learning myself right!“ Now, that’s an interesting revelation.

The 14-year-old Miss Brinson had no idea that, within the next two years, she would meet the man she would eventually marry. However, more importantly, fate had no inkling that Savannah James was about to become the most important woman in the life of a future NBA star (read: legend). In hindsight, this is perhaps what poets refer to as destiny!
Savannah James met LeBron for the first time when she was 16
In a 2018 interview, Savannah James said she met LeBron when she was 16 through mutual friends. At that time, LeBron was a year older and went to a different school. And, he asked their friend for her number, but Savannah got his number instead and made the first move. “I was bored one day and remembered I had his number,” she explained.
