The Philadelphia 76ers continue to dominate their way through the games. They took on the Los Angeles Lakers on Monday night and produced a blow-out 138-94 win. As usual, the dominant duo, of Joel Embiid and Tyrese Maxey, led the offense, dropping 61 points under their account. While Embiid already built his reputation with his MVP stature, 23-year-old Maxey is currently having a breakout season, averaging 26.4 points per game.
When James Harden left the Sixers, the NBA world expected the team to struggle to find their footing. In contrast, the Philly games have become an exhibition of Maxey’s road to excellence. He has been a consistent performer and a points leader in the back end of the games. Notably, he is currently scoring leader of the 4th quarter with 136 points this season so far.
