D’Angelo Russell spoke about how he was not with LeBron James when he broke the All-Time lead scorer record of Kareem Abdul Jabbar that was intact for 39 years on his podcast called the “Backyard Podcast“. He said, “I wasn’t with Bron when he tapped into the f****ng score and title and all that. But I know whoever was they felt like they ‘Damn I was a part of history’. ”
He further spoke about his In-Season tournament experience and said that no matter which two teams were playing if their match was as hyped up as the In-Season Tournament Finals and were competing for $500,000, the match would have gone down to the wire. Russell added to that and said, “We gonna look back on this one and be like, damn, this is history. This is how I really feel about the In-Season tournament though, like that sh*t is history and I was a part of history today.”
