Malcolm Brogdon has been looking to leave the Celtics for some time now. According to major rumors on the internet, the 2017 Rookie of the Year wishes to join the Los Angeles Clippers.
In fact, the player and the team have held talks over a possible trade during the NBA offseason. An NBA executive has some warning signs for Brad Stevens, the Celtics head coach.
According to the insider, although Brogdon is a great team player who will do anything for the team, the coaches should not hide anything from him. Moreover, he wouldn’t mind leaving the team to search for better opportunities elsewhere.
“He’s a good guy and he’s smart. But he can be a bad guy if you’re not telling him the truth and you’re trying to pull a smokescreen over him. I like him. I think he’s a good guy”, said an NBA executive according to Heavy.
A few months ago, the Celtics tried to include the 30-year-old in a three-team deal with the Clippers to acquire Kristaps Porzingis. They traded for the Washington Wizards star regardless of Brogdon. Interestingly, it was revealed that the guard was dealing with ‘health issues’ which is why the Clippers pulled out of the deal.
