The Portland Trail Blazers selected Damian Lillard No.6 in the 2012 draft lottery. Dame looked like a star from the very beginning and a player that belongs in the NBA. He won the Rookie of the Year award in a draft class which had the likes of Anthony Davis, Bradley Beal and Draymond Green. The fans respect Damian Lillard because he stayed loyal to one franchise while his peers were demanding trades and creating superteams. But after failing to win the title with the Blazers season after season, he finally decided to demand a trade in 2023.
In a recent interview, Dame criticized Kevin Durant when he joined the Warriors in 2016 and said, “I wouldn’t do that”.
On NBA Today, Ramona Shelburne accused Dame of being a hypocrite after demanding a trade to Miami. She said, “He wants to join the Miami Heat just went to the finals two out of three years.”

But the Blazers already have Scoot Henderson on their roster. Both Scoot and Dame are ball dominant guards and this could lead to team chemistry issues for the Blazers.
