Despite the elimination, Damian seems to be optimistic about his future with the Bucks. Following the Game 6 loss, he said, “It’s very disappointing. But it’s part of the game. It happens, you can do as much training, you can do all the things that you want to do, but you can’t control when a random play might happen.” He seemed to be taking the loss well. He went on to express excitement about his future in Milwaukee, “I’m extremely excited. It’s been some hard times. But it’s never been an issue with Milwaukee. I get the opportunity to play with Giannis. I’m playing with veteran players.” His mind is set on the title, and he knows that the team shares his ambitions, “And that’s why I made the decision to be a part of something like this,” he said.

Although Lillard’s post has worried many, it doesn’t seem like the Bucks will need a new Point Guard. Damian Lillard was very vocal about looking forward to Year 2 with the Bucks. The player now has more clarity and realizes where his performance was lacking. He now knows his Coach and his team better than before, “I’ve kind of settled into things here.” As the Bucks reflect on their past year and strategize about their future, fans eagerly wait for a comeback next season.
