After months of hard toil, 7x NBA All-Star Damian Lillard finally pulled off a trade deal with the Milwaukee Bucks. Ever since he made his trade request public in July, the star didn’t make any public appearance or interviews. However, days after his much-awaited trade, he took a walk of pride along with his family in the streets of Milwaukee. Moreover, the former Portland Trail Blazers star took the opportunity to endorse his product, which was launched in September.

After spending a 11-season-long ringless journey with the Blazers, Lillard finally found his way out. Now, he has found a spot alongside the NBA Champion Giannis Antetokounmpo. Nevertheless, Lillard’s travel with the Blazers isn’t a lighter one. He has produced several remarkable performances with the team. He won Rookie of the Year award and continued to maintain a reputation of the franchise leader in the last 11 season. Apart from that, it helped him sign many lucrative brand deals. One of them is Adidas.

Damian Lillard has partnered up with $33.63 billion rich brand Adidas all throughout his career and donned his own shoe line. In a decade long partnership, they launched the latest sneaker in September. The all new DAME 8 “EXTPLY” was made available to the fans from the 1st of September. Notably, EXTPLY stood for ‘extended play’, highlighting Dame’s love for music. Speaking of music, he recently dropped a new song, Farewell, on his exit from the Blazers after the Bucks trade.

Moreover, he further utilized the Bucks trade to his fortune by endorsing his latest shoe. The Bucks management organized a ‘Welcome Rally’ for the star in the Milwaukee streets. Thousands of fans took to the streets to welcome the star into the Bucks family. Lillard walked along with the family, waving at the fans. Along with that, he also presented some of his fans with autographed DAME 8 “EXTPLY”.

Dame later took to his Instagram and shared the pictures alongside happy Bucks fans with their autographed sneakers.

Adidas and Lillard have a long history and they have turned the NBA world’s attention to their side once in the past as well.

In the 11-season-long career, Lillard has donned only Adidas sneakers. Moreover, the star’s popularity earned him his own sneaker line. However, in the year 2014, two years into his career, Lillard re-signed a multi-year lucrative deal with Adidas, reported NBA. The third largest deal at that time. While asked about the humongous deal, he said, “it’s exciting because it’s a challenge for me. It’s something else for me to live up to, a huge investment that somebody has made in me that I’ve got to make it worth them doing it.”
