It’s the season of giving, and Luka Doncic doesn’t seem to be slowing down. Just a few days ago, the 4X All-NBA star gifted his teammates, staff, and coaches with electric bikes worth $70,000 each. A big man with a big heart Luka Doncic is now spreading the holiday cheers with children in North Texas and Slovenia. The Mavs‘ star, through his foundation, organized and met up with about 275 children from the two areas over the past few days.
An official statement by his foundation revealed that Luka provided “gifts for babies and parents in a Fort Worth pediatric NICU unit and [offered] financial support to parents with mounting bills. Never forgetting his native Slovenia, his Foundation [continued] to provide cheer, toys, gifts, and parties for youth in various care and treatment centers.”

Luka is no stranger to giving back to society; through The Luka Doncic Foundation, he makes a concerted effort to give children a happy and healthy life. The Slovenian superstar said about the recent gesture, “My heart has always been with kids, and I know that being in a hospital, a youth center or facing hard times during the holidays is really tough. I want to do whatever I can to make these kids’ days just a bit happier and better.”

As part of this holiday season’s efforts, Doncic also hosted fifty children from Southern Dallas prior to the Dallas Mavericks game against the Clippers on December 20th in North Texas. He planned a surprise meet-and-greet for the children before the game and went as far as to arrange for their transportation, in addition to setting up meals, NERF and Jordan Brand gifts. For Santa Doncic, the biggest gift yet would be a Christmas Day win for the Mavs.

Despite losing four of their last six games, the Mavericks are currently leading the Southwest Division after a strong season that has shot them up to the top. Tonight, as part of the Christmas Day special games in the NBA, they will make a stop at the Footprint Center in Phoenix for a face-off against the Suns.
The two teams will play each other for the first time this season, and considering that the struggling Suns will be desperate for a win, the Mavs will have to put up a fight. It won’t be an issue for them, however, as they are in good hands with Luka Doncic at the reins.
