Dubs superstar Stephen Curry surprised his sister Sydel, as he crashed her girls’ trip. The Golden State Warriors point guard has a long off-season in front of him with a lot of leisure time and some balling action. And, he decided to kick-start it with a small cameo at the BottleRock Napa Valley, Northern California’s premium music and food festival.
Sydel Curry, who had a girls’ trip with her friends at the festival, had a special surprise. Steph picked up the mic at the festival and interacted with the crowd. She shared a video clip of the moment on his Instagram stories with the caption, “Not him crashing girls weekend.”
Moreover, Stephen Curry didn’t just pick up the mic to interact with the crowd but also pulled off a Bradley Cooper-esque performance on the stage alongside the man himself, Bradley Cooper. The Warriors superstar sang the chartbuster Shallow from the film ‘A Star is Born’ sung by Lady Gaga and Cooper. Sydel was quick to share the moment on her IG stories with the caption, “Cooper??!” The superstar visited the event as part of a promotional campaign for his million-dollar brand, Gentleman’s Cut.

Interestingly, this isn’t the first time that the superstar has picked up the mic to try his luck at singing. Curry pulled off a similar stunt in the 2023 offseason, but it was in the Bay Area. He crashed the Paramore concert and ran up to the stage. After hyping up the crowd, he borrowed the mic from the band’s singer Hayley Williams, who was offering it to him, kneeling.
Steph quickly picked up the mic and started singing “Misery Business,” giving the crowd a memory to cherish. While he surprised Sydel Curry tonight, he also left his wife, Ayesha Curry, stung with nostalgia. She shared the moment on her stories, and wrote, “Woaaaaaaah! We listened to Paramore on one of our first dates… What a full circle moment.”
While he has begun it this way, there is more to come from Stephen Curry during the off-season.
Things to watch out for in Steph Curry’s offseason
After the Golden State Warriors’ early exit from the 2023-24 season, the Bay Area fans didn’t get to see their superstar in action as much as they would have wanted to. But, the wait is over, as Stephen Curry has some business to take care of in the off-season.
Firstly, no one can keep Curry off the golf course. Last year, he left the sporting world in disbelief when he dropped a hole-in-one and won the celebrity golfing championship. And fans might get to witness some more of his golfing prowess in the months to come.
Secondly and most importantly, Steph will suit up for Team USA alongside superstars like Kevin Durant and LeBron James for the Paris Olympics. After a disappointing finish to the season’s campaign, he can seek his redemption on the world stage. Team USA, headed by Steve Kerr, faced a disappointing exit in the 2023 FIBA WC with a young team. Following that, legends of the game joined hands to bring back the glory.
